The lightness in conversation helped ease away the more troubling feelings that had been consuming him. Any talk of having a child was still not really comforting to him but now that they had gotten that out into the open he felt much better about it. Cale now knew that he was allowed to mention things like that and they would both be aware of one another’s thoughts on it instead of just blindly diving into something. It may have only been one topic right now but it felt like a huge feat indeed. They had managed to have a serious conversation without breaking someone else’s nose in the process. They had figured something out without storming out or spewing hateful words all over the room. The feelings were a delicate mix of light and heavy but now they were only getting lighter, more playful than serious. And it wasn’t because they were trying to avoid something. Instead, it was because they had finally come to an understanding for the time being. It was completely incredible to feel this way… why had he not just tried to work things out with people this way in the past? He hadn’t known it was possible!
He narrowed his bright eyes at her, accepting her moment of glory with the promise of a coming challenge. A small smirk had made its mark on his lips while she had been speaking and gloating in her rightness. He knew she was being truthful and he also felt like she probably wasn’t trying to cause too much harm on his oh so delicate ego. That was why he was allowing her this moment, because just that moment would be all that he would let her have.
Cale pushed himself up so that he was sinking back into the headboard any longer. He ignored the pain in his neck from lying so awkwardly and then turned on his side facing her and mimicking her pose. He let his chin rest in his hand and he raised his eyebrows high up at her, as though he were getting ready to make an important point. Then he began to lean forward toward her until eventually his free arm had snaked up over her side and he used the other one to push forward. He pushed himself into her, pressing his body over hers and letting the tip of his nose meet up with the end of hers. The smirk on his lips turned into a wider, prouder sort of grin and then he decided to press his mouth onto hers to lightly take hold of her bottom lip with his teeth. He gave it a pull, scrunching his nose and furrowing his brow to give the impression of an upset canine. And then he let go again.
“You should try marrying me before you kick that idea completely,” he told her in a challenging voice, still smirking. He pressed his lips up against hers again, this time speaking against them. “Besides, you were practically born for me.” He grinned devilishly against her lips, letting his eyes drift upward to find hers but, the moment did not lost long and his eyes disappeared again when he pushed his jaw forward to replace the simple caress of lips with a full on kiss. Then he ended it and breathed out a few words quietly to her. “You’d give it all to stick with me and I you.” TAGS, CATARINA WORDS, 576 NOTES, HE CAN BE ROMANICAL SONG, IRIS - GOO GOO DOLLS

Even in the dim light, Catarina could see the sadistic glint in Cale's eye as he got on her level. She didn't know what he had in mind, but she could tell that she was going to like. Not that she didn't always enjoy his "surprises." However, this one was particularly welcome because it got her mind and, hopefully, his mind off of the subject they were talking about. Even though she was the one who had brought it up, she was the one who wanted to get off of it most, she thought.
A smile crept across Cat's lips as Cale moved himself closer to her. There was always a sinister intent whenever they were near each other. She was quite excited when his hand slid over her body, and only continued to become more ecstatic as he pressed his body against her. He managed to startle her a bit by rubbing noses with her. That was something new, but it was short-lived. She couldn't say she didn't like it, though.
As he took her lip in his teeth, she looked at him, narrowing her eyes playfully. He seemed to like doing that to her.
It was quite a different feeling, playing around in a sort of intimate, yet not so sensual, fashion. It was like what real couples did. When they were honestly, truly in love. Not just in it for the flings and wild sensations. Cat wasn't sure if she liked it or disliked it. She loved passionate and sloppy, but there was something vibrant about this new-found experience.
Catarina didn't know if she should do something back; she felt sort of helpless, lying there, letting him do all the work. But, hey, if he didn't object, then she wasn't going to either. Besides, hadn't she done enough just to get him to admit some feelings for her? Yeah, that was plenty enough labor for her.
When Cale started to speak, it sort of alarmed her. She hoped that he was totally kidding about the marriage part. There was a smile on his face that seemed to assure her that he was joking. She just sort of grinned back at him, even though her lips were against his now. His next words were enough to extinguish the thought of marriage. They were surprisingly nice and sweet. It even caused her heart to shake off the icicles and flutter a bit. But only for a brief moment. Catarina wasn't a sucker for sappy romances, even if it was coming from Cale.
She didn't exactly know what to say back to him. Cat gazed at him, a bit uncomfortably. "That's certainly true," she stated matter-of-factly. Before he could respond with some snide remark, Catarina pressed her lips against his, just following the trend he seemed to be setting. She kissed him for a few moments, hoping to make up for her awkwardness at being romantic. She peeked at him, a mischievous twinkle in her irises. Her hand moved to his hip where it rested idly. For now. Cat was aiming to excite him. Just a little bit. He might have seemed impermeable, but anatomically, he was a boy. Just like all the others. What separated him was his personality and dashing good looks. Among other things.
Her other hand remained unoccupied, though it could certainly be at work like the other. Perhaps she would find a use for it soon.

No matter the fact that he could actually let the words in the deepest part of his heart let loose. With Catarina, it was all about being physical. Cale himself had always been a very physical kind of person but this wasn’t really the type that he was so accustom to having. His mind also had not been completely wrapped and lost in her intoxicating kisses or his own sweet nothings. That voice that had warned him before was once again blaring red lights in his head to let him know that this very well could end up being a bad idea. Cale was well aware where kissing and touching would lead and hadn’t thought through his earlier advances on her. They had been more of a form of play than a plea to do anything rated mature. Besides, he’d already made his stance clear to her on this and guess who would be the one getting angry when he stopped her from taking things too far? She was getting herself into this mess and trying to drag him along with her. But, for the moment, he was content with not stopping her or his own lustful feelings that were stirring inside of him.
Cale allowed Cat to continue making her progress without much of a fight. Usually it was him who was putting in the forceful effort rather than playing the submissive role. This time he would let her give this a try and he would let her just try and see how unwilling he could be when it came to giving into his instincts. With her hand on his waist and her lips against his it would prove to be a difficult task, surely. But Cale was as stubborn as they came and he was sure that he could outlast Catarina at anything he wanted to.
He wouldn’t give into her and he was determined to turn the tables on her. Instead of letting her continue on with her temptations alone Cale pushed forward forcing her onto her back so that he could get on top of her. He separated their lips then with ease and offered her a completely smug grin. From there he turned a little so that his hip was resting on her and his entire arm could lie on the opposite side of her. He continued staring down at her with that proud grim for several long moments, raising his eyebrows, silently daring her to keep at what she was trying to do with him.
“I think keeping you deprived of these kinds of things is much more fun than giving them to you,” he explained to her, not trying to hide that sinister tone underlying his tone. Cale lowered his lips toward her again, stealing another rough kiss while he let his free hand run over the side of her face to remove the loose strands of blond hair that was on her. Once his lips parted from hers he gave her nose a little peck and backed away again. “Now make me some coffee so I won’t fall asleep at the wheel on my way home later.” TAGS, CATARINA WORDS, 552 NOTES, NICE TRY HELL CAT SONG, IRIS - GOO GOO DOLLS

Cale was a hard-headed guy. Probably the most stubborn she had ever met. He also had a much greater will than herself. It drove her absolutely crazy that she couldn't persuade him to do something she wanted. She was used to getting what she wanted via seduction or just generally by her looks. But with Cale, that certainly wasn't going to happen.
She didn't expect him to do what she wanted, though. By now, it would be ridiculous to think that she could manipulate him. It was just entertaining to try. Perhaps she would break through one day.
Catarina was almost animated when Cale forced her on her back. However, she was skeptical of his intentions. There was no way he would do anything with her, especially since he had stated that he wasn't going to anyways. And he generally didn't contradict himself. Surprisingly, she wasn't angry, though. She felt more like they were playing a game of chicken rather than him trying to tease her. It could have easily been both, but for the sake of her temper, she preferred it being a game.
She wasn't the least bit dismayed when he told her he liked keeping things from her rather than giving them to her. Coming from any other guy, she might assume he was stupid or gay or something. Coming from Cale, though, it was completely normal. It did frustrate her a bit, because she wanted nothing to do with anyone else other than him. And Catarina certainly did like to do things.
"That's because you're cruel," she responded, amusement in her voice. That opinion of him would never change. He was a torturous individual, always leading her on and then shooting her down. It may have been out of spite, but Cat figured it was just for his own entertainment.
What he said next, however, caused Catarina to emit a small laugh. Just a brief titter. It definitely spoke volumes about her reaction, though. "I've never made coffee in my life," Cat told him through a broad smile. "If you really want some, though, I'm sure there's a coffee shop somewhere."
Never had Cat been told to go make something. Being the daughter of a chef, she rarely had to worry about ever having to fend for herself. It was just funny to hear someone tell her to do a task like making coffee. She wasn't even sure if she owned a coffee maker. It was fortunate that she had a refrigerator or stove. Both her pantry and her fridge were empty, though. For one, she didn't live her anymore. Secondly, she always went to a restaurant or to her parents'. Oh, the joys of being wealthy. It sure came in handy when you knew nothing about how to live like a poor person.
Catarina didn't know what Cale was thinking when he said that to her. Did he forget who he was talking to? Wasn't he the one who always referred to her as 'princess'? Princesses generally didn't do anything for themselves. Luckily, Cat could at least haul her own self around and was intelligent enough to be placed in just about any field she wanted (as long as it wasn't some sort of manual labor; that was just icky).
"Maybe you should get up if you're going to deprive me of whatever and get some coffee."

Cale couldn’t help but let his eyes roll the instant that he heard her reply. Of course she wouldn’t know how to make coffee. Why would he ever expect that Catarina Luxis could do something like that? She was a pampered princess who had everyone else do whatever she wanted them to do. Besides, he wasn’t even sure if she actually drank coffee. Now that he thought about it, Cale didn’t think she even appeared to be much of a coffee drinker. She was already enough of an annoyance on most occasions without having caffeine in her system.
With the sad news of a lack of coffee, Cale pushed off of her and rolled back over onto his side of her bed where he laid on his back. His eyes narrowed up at the ceiling before pressing shut with thought. Either he’d have to go coffee hunting outside of the residence or he would have to try and actually get some sleep in. Cale really wasn’t sure if he had the will to leave just to buy a cup of coffee. If he did that he would just end up leaving anyway to be sure that he was awake for the time being. Sleeping did not sound half bad but now his brain was pumped up on dopamine credit to Catarina and her physical enjoyments that she so liked to try and provoke him with. A few times those feel good neurotransmitters had tried to convince him to carry on without a worry or a doubt. But, damn it, Cale was stubborn as they came and no matter how much his body ached for the attention he held back and thought of damn coffee. God, sometimes he just thought his life fucking sucked. It was brief moments like this… when he was left biting the inside of his lip and wishing he could just be reckless and not care about the consequences like he managed with most other things. Unfortunately, he knew the consequences that this could bring and was afraid to risk it, even if Cat wasn’t.
“Sometimes I really hate you,” he murmured, half talking about the coffee and half letting out some of his distress over his thoughts. He turned his head to look back over in her direction. The features of his face had relaxed now and he looked almost he had just woke up from a peaceful slumber. That was only because he was sort of wishing that he had though. His brows shot up and a frown returned to his lips while his head rocked back in the direction it had came and he was suddenly staring up toward the ceiling again. His hands then reached up, stretching toward the roof. A few quiet snaps came from his shoulders and elbows then and he breathed in a loud breath of air filling up his lungs before exhaling. His hands fell quickly over his face then. “God, I should have slept. No, Cat wants to talk about babies,” he teased in a harsh tone. Then he grinned widely, hands still covering the majority of his face save for smile. “Now I’m gonna die in a car crash.”
He was being dramatically playful. His voice was hard as stone but his face very obviously lacked the same coldness. The grin on his face wasn’t a sarcastic one either. Just a simple and sweet, true blue grin. How Cat would take his dark comments? He wasn’t really sure but he found himself very willing to take on the challenge of an argument if presented. His brain was a mix of tiredness and excitement. Nothing could stop him. Most everything. TAGS, CATARINA WORDS, 612 NOTES, NOMNOM SONG, IRIS - GOO GOO DOLLS

What a funny thought. Her making coffee. She would probably cut her fingers off somehow. That's how completely clueless she was about... everything. So, Cale probably made for a pretty good balance with her book-smarts and his street-smarts. Without each other, they would be fairly destitute! Though, she wasn't sure how she had lived seventeen or eighteen years without knowing him before.
Catarina was a bit relieved when he moved off of her now. It meant that he wasn't tempting her with, well... himself. Because, no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't resist whatever charms he used on her. He must have used some kind of black magic on her. There was no other way to explain it.
Her ears were a bit shocked to hear Cale's words. Hated her? What was with the sudden loathe? Eyes widening just a bit, she looked over at him in surprise. She would have taken him completely seriously had he not had a composed expression on his face. Still, she was a bit taken aback by his comment. It wasn't like she hadn't heard it before; it was just, coming from him was like nails on a chalkboard.
Cat didn't bother to reply. She simply kept a small smirk on her face (though she was still quite alarmed). Her eyes watched him carefully, however, mostly for any signs of hostility. She was pretty good at reading body language, but not so great at deciphering sarcasm. A lot of things went over her head, but Catarina could tell a lie just by pitches in a voice. It was a give-and-take sort of thing.
When Cale commented about sleeping, Cat felt the urge to agree. She wished she had slept, too. However, a quick trip to her father and a made-to-order frappuccino would certainly fix that until she was ready to crash. As for Cale, well... he would just have to wait it out, she supposed, or go to a coffee shop.
Catarina propped herself up on her elbow. Her eyes stared down at Cale, an amused determination in them. "You're the one who kept nagging about it," she reminded him, feeling a bit like the nag-ee now. She shook her head at him before laying on her side again. Her voice was not as playful as he was hinting at, but it was still teasing.
She yawned, just a small gesture of sleepiness. "Just go to sleep now," she insisted. "I, on the other hand, am going to get a fresh coffee." With that, Catarina gave Cale a rather broad grin before sliding out from under the comforter. She planted her feet on the floor, standing, and then walking toward her closet. As large as it was, she usually had a hard time finding an outfit. Not because it was so enormous, but because she liked to be a bit conservative around her father. After all, she was still his little girl, despite how obviously sinful she could be.
Cat closed the door of her closet, turning toward Cale now. "You should come with me," taunted Catarina. Yeah, right. Like she would let her father meet Cale. He had once, so long ago. To put it simply, it was not a pleasant meeting. Her father's first impression of Cale was that he was a no-good, rotten-to-the-core bad boy who was only interested in corrupting his daughter (maybe because that's what he was). However, it would be oh, so amusing to see the reaction her father would have if he saw Cale again. He wasn't violent, but Cat's dad could certainly be aggressive if he had to. Not that she wanted the two to get in a fight (Okay, she kind of did. Is that wrong?). It was just a tease anyways. She knew Cale would much rather sleep or something than get some coffee with her.
